The Andean Quest

Explore El Yeso Valley and the Andes Mountain Range.

An early wake up to drive toward the Andes and explore El Yeso Valley, to enjoy a full day tour through unique landscapes while looking for some of the chilean endemics as the Craig Chilia and the Moustached Turca among some specialties of this part of the country as the Chilean Mockingbird, the Black-winged Ground Dove, the Grey-flancked Cinclodes and the Grey-hooded Sierra Finch. We will also get theopportunity to spot the Andean Condor and the Black-chested Buzzard Eagle. On the way to the Yeso Valley located at 2.500 mts. above the sea level, we will also be looking for the Torrent Duck, a very specialized member of the Anatidae family that lives exclusively in the Andean rivers and some specialties as the Diameded Sandpiper Plover. 

Some of the species that can be found in this tour: Magellanic Horned Owl, Torrent Duck, Mountain Caracara, Red-backed Hawk, Craig Chilia, Moustached Turca, Chilean Mockingbird, Diameded Sandpiper Plover, Mourning Sierra Finch, Bar-winged Cinclodes, Band-tailed Sierra Finch, Grassland Yellowfinch, Yellow Rumped Siskin, Andean Condor, Black-chested Buzzard Eagle.

Destionations: Cajón del Maipo and El Yeso Valley.
