This trip is planned as a full immersion in the birdlife of Chile, visiting and exploring a wide range of different habitats of this long-narrow piece of land. Sixteen days to enjoy great birding destinations between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean, with time enough to visit beautiful landscapes and spectacular wildlife spots.

DAY 6: BIRDING THE PACIFIC COAST AND PELAGIC OF THE HUMBOLDT CURRENT

Destinations:  Central Area: Santiago, Cajón del Maipo valley – Lake District: Puerto Varas and Lake Llanquihue area, Chiloé island, Maullín – South Patagonia: Puerto Natales, Torres del Paine, Punta Arenas.
Length: 16 days / 15 nights
Difficulty Level: Low.
Guide: Trip Leader specialized in Birdlife during the whole trip.
Activities: Pre-departure Briefing: Birds of Chile – Bird watching – Outdoor Walks – River and sea navigations – Naturalist focused tour – Photo opportunity.

Navigation in Puñihuil operated by Turismo y Gastronomía Puñihuil.

Transport: Private ground transportation. Internal flights are not included.
Meals: Lunch or box lunch for each day.

Accommodations: BirdsChile privileges small hotels with high standard of quality but not luxury hotels or big chains. We support local business and communities.
